Lockout / Tagout & General Electrical Safety - 6 Hours for Electricians - 8 Hours for Plumbers &  HVAC.  8:30am to 4:30PM  Refreshments & Lunch Provided

Course Description - This program is designed and developed to promote overall awareness of safety issues, worker’s compensation and eliminate potentially hazardous situations in the work environment and construction process.

Overall Goal - Reduce the number of workplace injuries and improve awareness of potential and workplace hazards.

Objectives and Purpose – Upon Completion of this program the participants will be able to: • Work safely around electricity • Explain the affects of electrical shock on the body • Identify potential electrical hazards • Know precautions necessary for working around electrical equipment and tools • Perform lockout on electrical equipment • Identify various lockout devices • Explain proper grounding and bonding • Consider precautions necessary when using hand & power tools • Identify the different fires and extinguishers needed to fight them • Properly use a fire extinguisher • Avoid and eliminate various causes of workplace fires • Properly use ladders at work • Know the importance of working safely above ground • Create a safe work environment
